Friday News Bytes: Parents Need to Chill Out, More Capcom and More!

newsbytes_latest1

Sometimes, parents need to chill out. By “parents,” I mean the ones who belong to protest groups and spend their time protesting the release of certain video games. Like Madworld, for the Wii. What a waste of time. Seriously. Do they actually think the developer or publisher of the game will all of a sudden conclude, “Yeah, they’re right, let’s not release the game?” What would make a lot more since is to join a parent group that proactively teaches children between right and wrong. When are they going to get it that its not the game that pulls the trigger, its the individual? Maybe if you show the individual that you care, instead of the game, things would be a little different in this world. Can you imagine people protesting and accusing the Beatles for what Charles Manson did? After all, Manson called his murders “Helter Skelter” (a song by the Beatles) and saw the “White Album” as prophecy to an apocalyptic war between whites.

News Bytes For Friday, March 14 2009:

  • New Resident Evil titles for the Wii are expected beginning December. Titles include: Darkside Chronicles and re-worked versions of Resident Evil Zero and Resident Evil.
  • Resident Evil 5 has sold over 300,000 units in Japan over the last week. Can we say, “hit in the making?”
  • Shares of COOL saw a nice little $.22 bump today after Majesco announced impressive earnings yesterday. COOL ended the day at $.88 per share.
